Broussard’s opened in 1920 when chef Joseph Broussard and Rosalie Borrello transformed her Conti Street family residence into a French-and-Creole restaurant. The restaurant now spans linked buildings of different eras, including the principal 1874 Borrello mansion and a Magnolia Room component that began as an 1831 stable for the neighboring Hermann-Grima House.
