Dates come from deeds, newspaper archives, and city records — not from the building's own marketing. Where a place's own history is wrong, the correction is noted and sourced.
Every legendary room has legends. They belong here, but they're labeled. Nothing is repeated as fact because it's been repeated often.
Each entry separates what survives fact-checking from what survives because it's a good story. Both are worth keeping. Only one is worth stating.
